I know that you had friends and made new friends in the block over the years. You even had time to do some handcrafts, like making paper and shell flowers and jewelry. I have some of them in my Topaz box and look at them at least once a year when I take them out for our Day of Remembrance exhibit at our church. I wish I had asked you more about the details of Tanforan and Topaz later in my life after I grew up and became a mom myself.
