A couple of local Topaz Stories-related events are on the calendar for February. Join us!
Saturday, February 18, 10:30 -11:30 am: Ruth Sasaki, Topaz Stories editor, will give an update on the project’s 2022 highlights for the West Contra Costa Association of American University Women. Christ Lutheran Church, 780 Ashbury Ave., El Cerrito, CA.

Jeanie Kashima, a Topaz survivor and Topaz Stories contributor, will speak about “Topaz Collages,” her collages created using photos taken in Topaz. There will be two chances to hear Jeanie’s talk, beginning at 11 am or 1 pm. Please register for the session you would like to attend, as there is limited seating.
Twelve of Jeanie’s collages are currently on exhibit at the Visions Museum of Textile Arts in San Diego. Sponsored by the West Contra Costa JACL. Rosie the Riveter Visitor Education Center, 1414 Harbour Way South, Richmond, CA. Call (510)232-5050 for information.
