This week, to celebrate Midori Morita Konno’s 100th birthday, we bring you Midori’s story, “Looking Back at 100.”
At the age of 16, Midori was incarcerated in Tanforan Assembly Center with her family of ten; another brother would be born in Topaz. She was in the first class to graduate from Topaz High School.
Although she was deprived of her home and freedom during crucial teenage years, Midori got the best revenge: a life well lived.
