The Salt Lake Nihonmatsuri committee also mounted a Topaz Stories exhibit of about 13 stories by Helen Harano Christ, Doris Yamada Yagi, Jean Hibino, Joe Nishimura, Jon Yatabe, Ruth Sasaki, Kaz Oyamada Iwahashi, Jun Nakahara Dairiki, Steve Fujioka, Jonathan Hirabayashi, Harue Hirai Minamoto, Michi Takeshita Mukai, and Diane Takahashi Yuen.

Panels with photos and text are mounted along a long wall. A line of people of various ages study the exhibit. One is a senior Japanese American man with a walker.

It was fun to meet and chat with other pilgrims and to hear their stories.
