Mari Nakamura shared Mitsi Nakamizo Fuchigami’s story of the Topaz High School’s unbeaten women’s basketball team’s “Hoop Dreams,” and Mitsi’s difficult adjustment to a new life in New York after leaving camp. Jean Hibino came all the way from Colorado to share her grandfather’s “Letter to a Nisei Son” (Jean’s father), a letter written in Topaz before her grandparents’ resettlement in Boston.
