Sports brought them together. From elementary school through high school in Berkeley, Frank Kami and “Babe” Danielson were friends. The incarceration of Japanese Americans in 1942 interrupted Frank’s senior year at Berkeley High–but it didn’t end their friendship.
In a new Topaz Story, Frank pays tribute to home-made cookies, the kindness of friends, and a very special person–his lifelong friend, “Babe.”
